The Good Shepherd Love Foundation partners with Grundfos Foundation for a good cause
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation (TGSLF) has entered into a partnership with the Grundfos Foundation (Paul Due Jensen Foundation) to embark on a good and worthy cause in Ghana.
This partnership comes after the Grundfos Foundation made a donation to the Good Shepherd Love Foundation towards the construction of a complimentary toilet project aimed at benefiting the people of the Otoase township in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The project is geared towards contributing to the eradication of the human practice of defecating outside and in open places rather than into a toilet.
The need to eradicate open defecation in the Otoase township has become necessary after a discovery that open defecation was the order of the day in the township and as a result contributes to pollution and diseases in the community.
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation under the supervision of Grundfos Foundation has taken steps towards commencing the project. The Good Shepherd team has made several visits to the community and met with the Chief and elders of the Otoase township who have given their blessing and support to the project.
The Chief of the Otoase township, on behalf of all members of the community, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Good Shepherd Love Foundation and the Grundfos Foundation for this worthy cause and encouraged the Foundation to continue to do more for society to eradicate poverty and contribute towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The project is expected to benefit a community of about 4000 people.
The Founding President of the Good Shepherd Foundation, Reginald Nii Odoi Esq., has assured the community of the completion of the project in due course and has promised to bring more support and opportunities to the community through strategic partnerships with the Grundfos Foundation and other such organizations.
