The Good Shepherd Love Foundation & Grundfos Foundation partner to eradicate open defecation in Otoase-Ghana
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation (TGSLF) partnered with the Grundfos Foundation (Paul Due Jensen Foundation) to eradicate open defecation in Otoase-Ghana.
This partnership was forged towards the construction of a complimentary toilet facility aimed at benefiting the people of the Otoase township in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The project is geared towards contributing to the eradication of the human practice of defecating outside and in open places rather than into a toilet.
The need to eradicate open defecation in the Otoase township has become necessary after a discovery that open defecation was the order of the day in the township and as a result contributes to pollution and diseases in the community.
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation under the supervision of Grundfos Foundation completed the project with the assistance of the Chief and elders of the Otoase township who gave their blessing and support to the project.
The Chief of the Otoase township, on behalf of all members of the community, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Good Shepherd Love Foundation and the Grundfos Foundation for this worthy cause and encouraged the Foundation to continue to do more for society to eradicate poverty and contribute towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The project is expected to benefit a community of about 4000 people.
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation promised to bring more support and opportunities to the community through strategic partnerships with other organizations.
