TGSLF visits the Royal Seed Orphanage in Ghana
The Good Shepherd Love Foundation leadership team and members visited the Royal Seed Orphanage at Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana to share love with the orphans and staff of the Royal Seed Orphanage. This humbling outreach dubbed the “Love Outreach 2018” took place at the Orphanage premises on the 22nd of December, 2018.
It has been the tradition of the foundation, as part of its yearly activities, to embark on a philanthropic outreach in December where it visits less privileged persons and communities to show them love, care and support.
The team led by Alfred Nimoh and Rhoda Enyonam Oklu – Aham met with the leadership of the orphanage who introduced them to the larger orphanage community made up of over 150 kids of various ages even as young as 6 month old babies. It was a very humbling and heart-warming experience.
The leadership of the Royal Seed Orphanage expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Good Shepherd Love Foundation for the thought of even sharing their items and donations as well as spending time with the orphans and staff of the orphanage.
The team donated items such as water, exercise books, pens, pencils, drinks, sweets, biscuits, clothes and even treated the orphans, staff and members of the nearby community to some delicious jollof rice and chicken.
The staff took the team on a short tour, explained to them how the orphanage was run and financed as well as expressed the various challenges that the orphanage had to go through in order to cater for the orphans. They pleaded for support from well-meaning persons in society, civil society organizations and even government agencies.
A certificate of appreciation was presented to the team who expressed their thanks and spent the better part of the day with the orphans of the Royal Seed Orphanage.
